There are many scares at Tier VIII. Some may say the IS-6's monstrous 221mm of Effective Armor gives them sleepless nights. Other's argue that the ISU-152's BL-10 gun leaves a scar even in the next tank they play. Well, whatever side you pick, your argument is invalid. For i introduce to you, what i like to call as GooseBumps.
Even before you scope in on this atrocity, you'll already gain the impression that this behemoth is one not to be taken lightly. It's the same height as the Maus, with a lower camo-rating than the German wall of steel. And this thing'll seem bigger in front of you than in your rear-view mirror, with a Tier X engine fuming out 960HP to feed the Tier VIII Tracks, this thing'll roll comfortably at 28kph. Oh yes, did i forget to mention this thing is big?
IS-6? 221mm of Frontal Armour? Please, the M6A2E1 has 256mm of feather at the front. Looking for the lower-glacis weakness? Keep looking, this thing doesn't have one, it's 241mm down there if you're wondering. So no more looking down, literally, on a Heavy's Armour. "What about the Hull-cheeks?" you say, 250mm if you're facing this tank at a right angle from the front. So, essentially, that's an impenetrable Hull. Don't worry, the Turret's just worse. 248mm of armor up front with spaced-armor enclosing the Gun. Yes, there is a Cupola on this thing, sloped back with 160mm of armor. And this thing's a Tier VII?! The T-62A, entry-level Tier X MT, can't even penetrate this thing, let alone a puny Hellcat.
"Oh yeah, it's only scary if the thing bites, right?" Well, if you're petrified by the ISU-152, this thing'll teach you the definition of "fear". 191mm of penetration on AP and 248mm on HEAT. Yes, this thing can penetrate the lower-glacis of the E 100 on AP and the Turret of the Maus on HEAT. And it'll give you something to remember it for. More like take something. 310 Average Damage is no joke for a Tier VII Bird. And don't try hiding in your hole like an Ostrich, this thing will, literally, look down on you, with 10 degrees of gun depression, it'll do so with glee. Sure you can abuse it on it's reload, you are given 13s after all. Sure you can count on the shell missing, it does have 0.42 Dispersion. But within a distance of 100m? You better hope you've got another tank ready in your Garage.
Well, WG are not dumb enough to release a tank with no flaws, though this one does come close. Notice that it only has 44mm of Side-Armour. A Tier III will make mincemeat out of that. It's also got one of the joint-lowest traverse speed, both Turret and Hull, at it's Tier: 24deg/s. So treat this thing like a T95 and you'll do fine. If you do, somehow, find yourself aiming down at the roof of this bird, don't think twice, it's got 20mm of shelter, though i would caution the 20deg Elevation arc of the gun though, this specimen gets agrivated easily when you scratch it's head.
So, quite a scare isn't it? Well, it does have popular acclaim for being the rarest vehicle in WoT History. The last time it was sold was in 2011, when WoT just left Beta-testing. So, the M6A2E1, the Goose Tale more mythological than Zeus yet more thunderous than Thor. This thing is one you will see from a mile away, not that you can do anything about it though. Ironically, you'll be the one quacking your way to the nearest lake to drown yourself in your own tears...
